Katherine Hunter is a Namibian artist, writer and designer.
Katherine’s work explores the ways in which writing and art can push back against the world that we live in. Her favourite question is why. Common themes in both her art and writing are: nature, fantasy, coming of age and womanhood. Katherine sees her creations as a way to make sense of, and appreciate, the Earth and all it inhabitants around her.
Katherine’s artwork and writing has been published in Doek! Literary Magazine, and has also been shortlisted for the Bank Windhoek Doek Literary Awards. Her short stories have been published in Namibia (Doek!), Botswana (The Kalahari Review) and Canada (Dark Winter Literary Magazine). You can view her publications HERE. In recent months, she has been working hard on compiling a short story collection, which she hopes will make its way into publication soon.
